How We Teach
At Pitch Music Lessons, we teach more than chords and scales. Every lesson is built to rebuild focus, instill discipline, and reignite purpose through music — in a generation whose attention is being pulled in every other direction.
Our instructors come to you — meeting students where they are, physically and mentally. Private guitar across Los Angeles, in your home, so nothing gets in the way of the work. Beginners and experienced players both welcome.
"Built in silence. Forged in discipline. While the world sleeps, we tune the strings of greatness."
What We Teach
Private guitar, taught in your home. Every style. Every level. Every lesson built to develop focus, discipline, and real confidence on the instrument.
Fundamentals, fingerstyle, strumming, song-learning. The right foundation — tone, timing, posture — so everything after it is easier.
Beginners IntermediateRock, blues, soloing, phrasing, amp and tone. Learn the instrument the way real players actually use it — not the way YouTube tutorials teach it.
All Styles TechniqueNylon-string repertoire, right-hand technique, and the musical foundation that carries across every style you'll ever want to play.

What Families Say
Feedback from parents, students, and adult learners on what it’s like to study with Joey.
"Our experience with Pitch Music Lessons has been amazing. My son started just a few months ago and has absolutely loved every session. Joseph, his instructor, is incredibly talented, kind, and—most importantly—patient when working with kids. He’s paced the lessons so well that my son has already learned how to play several songs in a short amount of time. We’re very satisfied and plan on continuing for years to come. If you’re looking for private guitar lessons, Pitch is the way to go. Highly recommend!"
"We’ve had an excellent experience with Joey at Pitch Music Lessons. Before starting with Joey, our son spent nearly two years at another music conservatory, yet never fully learned the notes or how to play complete songs. Since switching to Joey, the progress has been incredible. He is now reading notes and playing beautifully. Each week, he learns something new in a clear, organized, and structured way that keeps him motivated and excited to improve. Joey is patient, knowledgeable, and truly knows how to connect with his students while building both confidence and skill."
"Joseph is fantastic with kids—encouraging, supportive, and able to keep lessons engaging while still teaching solid skills. He does home visits, which makes everything easier and more convenient for our family and allows my daughter to learn in a comfortable, familiar environment. We are happy to have found him and would highly recommend him to other families looking for a great guitar teacher."
"Joseph is not only highly skilled in guitar performance but also has a natural ability to teach students of all levels with patience and clarity. He creates a positive environment and ensures that every lesson is both enjoyable and effective. His teaching style is well-structured and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. He is deeply passionate about music and genuinely invested in seeing his students thrive. As an instructor, Joseph is reliable, inspiring, and highly recommended."
"Joey has been teaching our now six-year-old daughter guitar for a little over a year—she started at just five years old. We have been amazed at how much she has learned and progressed. He uses creative teaching methods that make learning both fun and effective. Our daughter has already memorized all of the notes on the guitar as well as on the music sheets, which speaks to the quality and structure of his teaching."
"We’ve had an amazing experience with our son’s guitar teacher over the past year. The progress we’ve seen has been incredible—not just in skill, but in confidence and love for music. He has a wonderful way of connecting with kids, keeping lessons fun, engaging, and age-appropriate while still building a strong foundation. Our son actually looks forward to his lessons each week. If you’re looking for a patient, talented, and reliable guitar teacher—especially for younger kids—we highly recommend him."
Meet the Founder
Joseph Gulasarian is the CEO and founder of Pitch Music Lessons — a modern, mobile music school built on the belief that discipline, creativity, and purpose can still be cultivated in today’s fast-paced world.
His relationship with music started early. At just six years old, he picked up the guitar and immediately felt something click. It wasn’t just an instrument — it felt like home. As he grew older, music became more than a passion; it became an outlet, a way to escape, process, and express what words couldn’t.
Over time, that personal connection evolved into something bigger. Through years of teaching, Joseph began to notice a pattern in the younger generation: a lack of focus, discipline, and genuine connection to the arts. Technology, while powerful, was reshaping attention spans and shifting priorities. Instead of accepting that as the new normal, he chose to challenge it.
That realization became the foundation for Pitch Music Lessons.
Joseph created a fully mobile music school designed to meet students where they are — both physically and mentally. His approach goes beyond teaching chords and scales; it’s about rebuilding focus, instilling discipline, and reigniting a sense of purpose through music. He believes that learning an instrument isn’t just about playing songs — it’s about shaping character, building confidence, and reconnecting with creativity in a world that often pulls attention in the opposite direction.
Today, under his leadership, Pitch Music Lessons represents more than just music education. It’s a movement to bring intention, structure, and passion back into the lives of young people — one lesson at a time.
